DTG publishes the latest version of D-Book


The D-Book’s technical specifications are the foundation of Freeview Play and Freesat, BT TV. TalkTalk TV and YouView.

D-Book 12.7 has been released by the DTG, the latest version the universally-deployed standard for UK Digital Television.

The annual publication is pIt was created in partnership with the industry and is based upon International Standards. It DTG said that this interoperability ensures the chain’s seamless transition from broadcaster through viewer. This allows service providers and manufacturers to deliver high quality products and content to the market with confidence.

The D-Book’s set of technical specifications underpins Freeview Play, Freesat, BT TV, Now, TalkTalk TV and YouView.  

D-Book 12.7 supports the current DTT platform, updated following the closure of the UK’s only Single Frequency Network, COM7, on channel 55 and further revises the receiver profiles to reflect the HD HbbTV baseline for all UK receivers.
