Maricopa County, Arizona fixes voting tabulation issue
Officials from the Elections Commission stated that it was an issue with some printer settings.
PHOENIX — Maricopa County Elections Department officials said that the source of tabulation issues that led to problems at roughly 60 Maricopa County Vote centers has been solved.
Officials said that it appeared that some printers didn’t produce dark enough timing marks on the ballot.
17 locations have already had their printer settings changed. Technicians are deployed throughout the county to address the remaining problems.
Stephen Richer, Maricopa County Registerer, apologised for the inconvenience and insisted every legal vote will now be tabulated
There is no one who hasn’t had to struggle with a printer at some point in their lives.
Officials say that if a tabulator malfunctions at your polling place, you can vote in one of three ways:
- Waiting for the tabulator’s return online at the poll center, I stayed at the vote centre.
- Place your ballot into a secure dropbox
- You can also visit another nearby polling place
