Cambridge man charged after police seize firearm components made by 3D printer

A 32-year-old Cambridge man is dealing with a number of costs in relation to a police investigation into firearms components manufactured by a 3D printer.
On Feb. 5, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Providers’ Medication and Firearms Unit accomplished a search warrant at a Cambridge house.
On account of the warrant, police seized varied 3D printer handgun receivers and different handgun components, together with a number of prohibited units and a prohibited weapon.
On account of the investigation, police charged the person with:
- possession of a prohibited weapon
- unauthorized possession of a weapon
- possession of a prohibited machine
- possession pc knowledge (associated to 3D printed firearms)
- manufacturing a firearm
