DTG Testing announces plans on DVB-I test suite

TP Vision will be the official launch partner of the DTG DVB–I Test Suite.

DTG Testing has been working closely with the organisation on the validation and verification of reference metadata for all endpoints of DVB-I.

The DTG DVB-I Test Suite was presented at IBC earlier in the month. It provides reliable reference metadata and media streams, as well as a suite of test cases that validate all aspects of DVB-I Specification.

The metadata allows DVB-I developers and consumers to create and deploy DVBI clients with confidence. While the test portal allows efficient testing and fault correction,

Commenting on the partnership DTG Testing Associate Director Ranjeet Kaur said: “The next big shift in TV is already happening and requires a multi-modal approach to innovation in order to keep pace with the dynamic evolution of the sector and the viewer experience. DTG Testing remains at the very centre of digital TV and, together with partners like TP Vision, we are defining the pathway to the future of television.”

“At TP Vision we believe that both broadcast and broadband play important, complementary roles in content distribution,” shared Elie Bonte, Innovation Lead at TP Vision. “The DVB-I standard enables the television ecosystem to get the best out of both, benefiting service providers, manufacturers and our customers.

You can license the test suite for in-house use via end-user licensing agreements or you can have full testing done by DTG Testing according to an agreed test plan.
